Recommendations for secondary school maths and english tutors?

I'm looking for a maths (and possibly an english) tutor for my DD, in year 8. Can anybody recommend one in the York area?

Hello,

My DD needed some help in yr6, and we used Mr Jackets in Acomb. He took older children as well and we found him very helpful. We went for maths but he also looked at her Literacy and gave her a lot of help with punctuation and grammar.

Hi, can anyone recommend a Maths tutor for GCSE level. My eldest daughter failed her maths & has had to resit in the sixth form, but unfortunately failed again!!! She really isn't keen on extra help as she feels embarrassed, but I think its the only way she's going to pass it! I'm in York. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.
