Pre-schools and nurseries in Chiswick

Hi everyone,

I am new to mumsnet and also Chiswick. I have only lived here a few weeks now, I moved from Suffolk with my husband and 3year old daughter. Chiswick is great we are all really enjoying it, but I am in need of some help with the local pre schools and nursuries.

I am currently in the process of trying to find a pre school or nursery (still not sure on the difference). My daughter attended a lovely pre school back in Suffolk and she is desperate to start going to school again. I'm not looking for full time, just to use up my 15hours entitlement to begin with, so it seems the montersorri ones are off the list as they just offer discount with the 15hr grant rather than using it alone, even though I have heard very good things about the local ones.

Does anyone know of any good pre schools or nursuries which allows to just do 15hours using the entitlement grant? Or any good ones for me to look into? I would be very grateful as i am feeling a little overwhelmed by it all, not knowing the area or local views on them.

I also will be needing to complete primary school applications soon as my daughter is due to start reception September 2013, any tips or advice on local state primary schools, applications, open days etc will also be very well received.

My 3.5 year old has just started this week at Belmont nursery with the Belmont School by Sainsbury's in Chiswick. Where are you in Chiswick. The best bet is to ring Hounslow Council and ask for a list of nursery's, or ring the school. There might be a waiting list. Good luck.
