This year Bradford May Day will be taking place on Saturday 28th April in the urban gardens. May Day is a grass roots, community organised event with minimal budget. We are trying our hardest to make this free event open and accessible to everybody. There will be 2 stages of live music from midday to 10pm, and food (sandwiches, pizza, cakes and teas and coffees) will be available all day from our lovely local vendors. There will also be a bar provided by 1in12 for mum n dad to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. What we really need is ideas for how to make this as family accessible as possible. What would you like to see provided to entertain your children? Facepainting? Balloons? Can anybody offer any assistance in providing activities?
We are responding to requests on the facebook event page and ensuring that there is somewhere quieter and calmer to feed smaller children. What else would you like to see? Get involved now and help us to make Bradford May Day 2012 bigger and better than 2011!
