Hypnotherapy for childbirth

alkar · 12/04/2012 22:06

I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist in the wigan area and as myself and DH have decided to try for our 2nd DC I would like to offer the first person who replies to this a free hypnotherapy for childbirth course. I had an emcs with DS and after I completed this course I stated thinking I could actually have a VBAC Smile

Any takers???

Hi Alkar,

Are you still doing hypnotherapy for labour? I'm a midwife, but expecting my second child in November. I am planning a homebirth, and I had an emergency c/s with my first child.

I am very keen to do hypnobirthing, as pharmacological analgesia will be extremely limited, and anything which helps me focus and stay in control can only be a positive as far as I am concerned!

Hi Alker,

I'm in Wigan and due in Dec. Using a hyponobirthing CD atm but was wondering whether classes would be more beneficial. How much would a course cost?

The Detective - found out that the next home birth group is 7.00 pm on 12th Sep at Platt Bridge Sure Start Centre (sorry for slight hijack Grin)

ISpy, you're a bloody gem! I got a letter inviting me to one on the 7th, then today got a phone call to say, sorry it's on the 12th! Then realised I'd lost the bloody letter, and didn't know where it was in Platt Bridge, or what time!

Was going to have to try get hold of a community midwife, but you saved me a job, so thank you very much!

I might see you there then?! I'm bringing 10 year old DS with me, as I think it will help him decide if he wants to be at the birth or not!

Just rang to double check whether it's in the clinic or Sure Start bit and glad I did - it actually starts at 6.30! My mw def said 7 - who'd have thought there'd be so much confusion about one meeting?! (Btw it is in the Sure Start centre)
