Primary schools in Barnet

Hi, new to this forum, glad to find it. I'm a Mum of two young kids planning to move to Barnet during the coming school year and worrying about finding a school place for our 4 year-old boy.

It seems from what we've read that Foulds is well regarded but hard to get into unless you live close and I imagine that is even more the case for in-year admission. We're assuming the church schools would also be hard to get into given that we don't have a particularly religious background.

So we're thinking Whitings Hill or Cromer Road would be our best bets for finding a place during the school year. Maybe Underhill Infant and Grasvenor Avenue too?

Would be very grateful for any insights on these schools or others we might have missed, and particularly if anyone has experience of moving to Barnet with primary-age kids during the school year.

Thanks :)

Should have added: We need to live fairly near to High Barnet tube for DH's commute so that limits our options I guess

I am in the same situation. I have seen some good reviews about Cromer Road but it is not that good on league table, neither are the Ofsted reports . Foulds seems to be in a very good area and good reports but the houses are v expensive. Whittings Hill is good in terms of both performance and ofsted report, but located in a not-so-good area. But houses are more affordable. We have been torn between these schools in the last couple of months, still cannot decide yet.

Hi everyone, I'm also looking at somewhere near a tube, near a good/outstanding school, and in a safe part of Barnet! Budget 400-500k, where and what school is a possibility for me??
