Tell me about Attleborough, and surrounding area's

My husband is due to leave the Army in a few years, but before he does we will buy our "forever" home and my children and i will live in the house whilst he does a weekly commute.

After much deliberation we have decided on Norwich as an ideal location due to where my and his family are located in the country.

A friend of mine says that Attleborough is a really nice area, has the countryside that I crave and that I can get a good sized 4 bedroom house for my money (up to 250k assuming we get a good price for our current house).

Having never lived there though I was hoping people could give me their experiences. By the time we move I will have a 13 year old and a 4 year old.

If you think Attleborough is not a suitable place to live can you give me alternatives in the area, and your reasons.
