Anyone have any experience of this nursery? My DS (2.5) has been offered a place. I'm going to scope it out on Friday but would love to hear from anyone with personal experience as I'm new to the area and haven't heard anything about it. Thanks.

Hello, know this was a while ago but wondered if your son ended up going to Noel Park daycare as I'm looking at it for my son once he turns 3 or if anyone else has any experience of it?

We love it! Looking at the experiences of friends elsewhere, i think it's the best decision we could have made for nursery.

Sorry wendycj, I'm very late in updating. My son didn't end up going to Noel Park Daycare in the end. I found a spot in the local playgroup instead - Dinosaurs. It's a very small group compared to Noel Park and he is thriving. I thought the staff at Noel Park were lovely and the resources/centre itself was great but it was a very big mixed age group and I felt it might be a bit overwhelming for my son as his first experience of a group setting. Playgroup is only mornings and term-time though so not useful if you need longer hours or work and need all year round care.

Hope you found a place for your son and are happy with it Smile

My daughter absolutely loves it there. She started when she was 2 and a half, but had been at another nursery before then. As it is a large group, I think parents with younger children or children who have never been in a daycare environment may find it a bt overwhelming. However, it's usually the parent's who are worried but the kids are fine! Lol

I know this is old thread but just wondering if anyone has any recent experience of this nursery? I'm thinking about sending DC2 (12mo) there. I've not been on a tour yet but wanted to get some opinions.

Hi happyfrog1,
Did you end up using noel park? I am currently deciding between Noel Park and Woodside for our three year old. Both have their pros and cons for our family circumstances and needs but I was hoping to get some more thoughts from other parents to help us make a final choice. Thanks!

Undecided about this centre, great reviews which led us there but decided against living child. Staff are very competent, but some assistant staff showed lack of awareness in some aspects such as one on one communication, picking up children, and establishing strong rapport. Centre is great, immaculate and steps are taken to ensure child education is at the forefront. However, more playing structure could be offered to avoid some children walking aimlessly, or looking a bit lost or concentrating on one area of play, especially for newbies. This would set a more cohesive group for each key individual, some seemed to do this but not all. Concern about handling of upset children starting, obversed a bit of a one size fits all, some Crouch End centres offer better settling in period approach where parents actively participate in the settling rather than being asked to leave their children. Settling in period process should be reviewed. Staff themselves are helpful, trained and professional. I would ask what processes they have in place when starting, in regards to highly distressed children who become reactive, such as pinching, and kicking in response to either disliking another key person other than their own looking after them. I have some concerns in the tolerance of some of the staff.

Our daughter joined this nursery earlier this year and we couldn't be happier. The atmosphere is always positive, we are always greeted by cheerful enthusiastic staff.

Our daughter has developed strong relationships with hey key person and other staff. She talks about them a lot at home and gives them big hugs when she sees them. They all clearly love children and have genuine affection and patience with them all.

The nursery itself is spacious and has different areas with different types of toys. They organise activities for the children with obvious learning objectives and my daughter is often itching to get through the door when she sees what's laid out on the table (stamps and paints for print making etc).

We love this nursery and would strongly recommend it.
