Hi! Just wondering if your daughter does attend IUP and if so how are you both finding it! I would be really grateful for any information you could share in regards to the learning, progress etc. Also, did your daughter start in nursery and did they automatically take off nursery voucher amount.
Thanks!

Hi - sorry only seeing this post now.
Yes, my daughter started Reception in September 2011. I am really pleased that we chose IUP for her. The classes are small which I personally find to be very advantageous in terms of one to one teacher attention / reading a book with the Teacher and being read to etc.

You will be entitled to the 3 - 5 year old government grant which is deducted from your invoice. If you mean the salary sacrifice scheme I am not sure how it works in the nursery as my daughter did not attend the IUP nursery, but in Reception we can only use the salary sacrifice vouchers for the holiday club, which is FAB by the way! Its ÂŁ500 for 10 weeks use of the holiday club, which is on site and with the same staff as the before and after school club. My daughter loves it! That works out ÂŁ50 per week - if you pay as you go then its something like ÂŁ28 a day!

My daughter is 4 (summer baby) and she has started to read. She knew her phonics before she started Reception but could not put them together to make the actual words, however she started Reception in Sept and by November she was reading! She can now fluently read the books that are sent home (obviously age appropriate) and I am sure its everything to do with the 1 2 1 interaction with the Teacher. I could go on! But I won't!!

Both my husband and I are very pleased that we made the decision to send our daughter to IUP.

Any questions please feel free to message me. I don't come on mumsnet very often so excuse me if I take an age to respond.

Take care.

Hi fellow parents

I know this is a zombie thread!

Please could you update me on your experiences on Ursuline prep school? I'm thinking about sending my daughter next year and would love to hear some up to date experiences. Many thanks.
