Calling all mums and kiddies!

Do you know anyone who has used the Primrosehill Family Centre on Sunnybank Road?
Or what about the ADAPT service in Bridge of Don which provides outreach support to children with disabilities and their families.
If so, how would you like to show some support for these services?

I am trying to rally some troops in Aberdeen to show support for a national children's charity at a local parade next Saturday. The charity is called Aberlour and Aberlour runs lots of services in Scotland including several important ones in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Aberlour runs the Primrosehill Family Centre on Sunnybank Road. I do believe some of the Mumsnet members might have attended the baby swimming classes at the centre until they ceased last year? Aberlour also runs the ADAPT service in Bridge of Don.

From July, I will be working as a full-time fundraiser for Aberlour, based in Aberdeen, trying to raise as much money as possible to allow the charity to continue to offer the best range of services as they can.

On Saturday, June 11 there is a big parade called Celebrate Aberdeen planned in Aberdeen City Centre. It's a walk from Harlaw to the Castlegate designed to celebrate the amazing work the voluntary sector does within the city. There will be more than 100 charities represented locally as well as entertainment in the form of performances from singers, choirs, drummers and pipers. The walk is going to start at 11am and finishes at 1pm.

Would you like to join and walk with us in support of the services mentioned above? Or do you know anyone who would like to? If so, please let me know. I can arrange T-shirts for you to wear along the way. It's going to be a great, fun event for adults and kids alike to enjoy. I really want to show the community the support that Aberlour's got and this is a perfect, fun way to do it.

Who's with me?
