Sounds good to me. How is it that side of town? We've been trying to stay within the bypass but it's so hard. We've been looking south, but it's a long trundle through the traffic to work and nursery.

Summer holiday day of fun is good for me. A whole year since our last (first?) meet!

oh, its lovely. cant quite get my head around the fact that we can walk to wales though. but its so quiet, and the school is fabulous. how long have you been looking? are you focussing on town or outside?

what date does everyone break up? ds is the 21st

woollyjo, Im sure we can sort a date to suit everyone! Ive just moved over this way from Telford and have ds (6) I dont work, so am as easy as ryan giggs!

I don't work Fridays, so that would be best for me

I've lived in Shrewsbury for 4 years, Telford for 10 before that and I have a 13mo DD.

We're trying to look in town so that I'm near to everything and don't get stranded in the country with a small child in winter. So no 15 minute treks up lanes (like to the inlaws where we're staying now), but around the bypass sort of distance. We had tenants moving into our flat so we had to scram. Had a lovely house lined up but the LL ended up being a twunt at the last minute. Narrow escape! But we've found nothing that fits the bill since.

Meanwhile, on topic....

god, househunting is such a pain in the arse! we fell quite lucky here, its a HA house. but we wanted a rural area tbh.

Oh HELLO! I think we should definitely have another meet up, it must be a year since the last one? We have great organisational skills, us Salopians!

I can't do the first 2 weeks of the summer hols but am fine after that. Not a prob if the meet is then, though - we can hopefully sort another one :)

Green pushchair, stripey blanket - that's us! And thank you, said DD is indeed The Most Beautiful Girl Ever. Fact. She's a very mobile 1 year old now, how time flies.
