Any family events for royal wedding day (not necessarily wedding-related) in Liverpool?

Hi all, DH is away for the weekend of the royal wedding and DS's childcare is closed that day so I am looking for something me and DS can do/go to that day. Anyone got any recommendations? I am assuming the usual places like the World Museum, Walker etc will be open (fingers crossed emoticon) but wondered if anyone has any plans about other events. It's not about watching the wedding as such, just for something to do - though I see the Yellow Sub has a Royal Wedding special day on but for normal entry prices so I am considering that.

There is loads on at the Waterfront, check out the website. Lots of boaty things, and tall ships I think, plus a foodie thing at the pier head. Chavasse park has a street party/wedding type thing going on too
