Moving to West Wight

Hi, we are hoping to move to Freshwater or Totland next year (yes - i know that's tomorrow!!Grin) We've been talking about it for such a long time now.

We have 2 DS aged 7 & 10. We went to view some Senior Schools this September and really like Carisbrooke High.

Does anyone have any re-locating stories they can tell me to help us to get that final push and sell our house and move - we just need to take the plunge now I think.

Our original reason for moving was my husband has chronic asthma and found his asthma was better when he lived by the sea in Lymington many years ago. Then we just fell in love with West Wight.

Hope to hear from someone soon. Happy New Year.

Hello foxy. I've only just spotted that you answered (better late than never). Are you still around? Where abouts on the island are you? If I've left it too late, I'll probably PM you, hope that's ok.

Just bumping this as wondering if you moved hippychick! We are considering moving across later this year (DH currently interviewing for a job). We'd be looking to live in Ryde, this is because we need somewhere with a little more life and good mainland links. West wight is lovely. I grew up on the island - but across in the east (Seaview), my parents moved when I was six, my brother four and my youngest brother was born on the island (the only islander of us all!). We loved growing up there, I've lived off the island for over 10 years now but once I had my daughter started feeling like it was time to return. My parents are still there.
