Primary schools in Abbeymead/Gloucester

Argh! Struggling to know what to do about primary schools in the Abbeymead area.

I know Abbeymead Primary and Heron are considered pretty good, but does anybody know anything about Dinglewell (as I understand it has had a pretty bad ofsted recently) and Coney Hill primaries? We are closer to both of those, and I just want to get a feel for what they are REALLY like.

I gather from people who have children there that Dinglewell is fine. It is a big school though, three form entry, and unlike Abbeymead and Heron it is a separate infant school. The Ofsted wasn't very good but it was mostly one teacher apparently?

Dn't know much about Coney Hill but they have great facilities and lots of money thrown at them.

Try posting again in primary schools?

Coney Hill Actually had quite a good ofsted. It seems like a good school - from what I've heard the problems only stem from a few problematic/difficult parents. My Son's going to Heron and we love it, Abbemead was our first choice though and it's just as good. The best way to find out more about the schools I found was to google them - comes up with newspaper stories, ofsted reports etc.
Personally though, I didn't really like Dinglewell, but my friend went there (although that was like 15years ago if not longer!) and she says it's good
