Ante-natal swiming and yoga near splott

Can anyone suggest where I can go? Preferably evenings or weekends as I am working full time.

I have heard there is yoga in Roath somewhere?

I'm not in your area but employers are supposed to give reasonable time off for antinatal appointments, I know some people go antinatal swimming or prgnancy yoga during worktime & get paid for the hour off.

Does swimming really count as an Ante-natal appointment though? I know there is a class at 9.30 in the wek until about 11 but I would feel a bit funny asking TBH.

It may depend on who you work for & how flexible or accomodating your employer is. If your local swimming pool has a 'pregnancy' swim class then some employers allow it. Let us know how you get on.

The aqua-natal class at Llanishen leisure centre (Tues 9.30-10.30am) is definitely categorised as an antenatal class as it is run by a qualified midwife. It is suitable from 20+wks up til birth. If you want more details ask your community midwife who will also tell you that you are entitled to paid time off to attend this class

Bit late on this thread, but I live in Splott, and I went to ante-natal yoga at the Cardiff Buddhist Centre (just off City Road, the Newport road end), run by this lady -www.sofya.org.uk/yoga_antenatal.html

Really enjoyed it. Classes were Sundays at 5 pm, and I think she did classes on Tuesdays but up at Insole Court in Llandaff as well.

Classes run depending on interest and numbers I think, but you could e-mail Sofya and ask.
