Visiting London...ideas?

I am an expat living in Oz. Am visiting my sister in London in June/July for two weeks.

As she works I will have lots of time to explore London on my own.

So ladies and gents...I am after ideas. What can a single thirty something designer do in London by herself?

Best markets? Antique places? Museums?Churches ? Other buildings? Shops? Tourist attractions?

It's a lovely walk along the South Bank from Tower Bridge to Tate Modern.
Borough Markets really great for food.
Get yourself a copy of Time Out when you arrive - good source of info for bars, eating out, events etc. There is also a Quirky Shopping Guide covering east London that you may find interesting.

I love just walking. I love gong somewhere crazy like Oxford Street, but then taking random turns. I've been here 10 years but the architecture, blue plaques, tiny streets, the history at every turn, still get to me!

Have fun, great time of year you'll be here....

I love doing that too, mm22bys. London architecture is so interesting and varied.

I second the walk along the South Bank.

Greenwich is worth a visit for the market and antique shops and is a nice place place to wander around. If you feel energetic you can climb the hill in the park for a fantastic view of London.
