what is good to buy for ME MEME

mogwai Tue 24-Jul-07 02:09:26

Haha

I'm in Sydney. He needs to bring you some nice Ugg Boots and some of the Cadbury's Dairy Milk because I would like your expert opinion on how shockingly bad it is.

arfishy Tue 24-Jul-07 02:56:10

Oh yes. VERY good point Mogs.

Hmm. Well, Sydney specialises in miniature koalas, kangaroo scrotum purses, boomerangs, digeridoos and ugg boots.

So I would just get him to bring you back some diamonds instead.

Or some ModelCo face lift mask (as recommended by Vogue Australia) & lip plumping nude lip gloss. David Jones on Elizabeth St should do the trick.

robinpud Tue 24-Jul-07 02:58:43

mogwai- how can he possibly inflict that wax infested stuff on her ?!
Foodwise- you can sample local delicacies like tim tams, lamingtons, anzac biscuits.
Alcohol- is cheaper here.
Crocs- are available in a multitude of colours.

How about some Ken Done stuff- they have some lovey hoodies in the shop and great t shirts. The website is really limited though so you'd have to trust his judgement here

Obviously boomerangs, diges and aboriginal art are hot. clotheswidse we are in between seasons with reduced winter stuff and early summer stuff.

robinpud Tue 24-Jul-07 02:59:39

Personally I'd ask for cash- sterling!

eidsvold Tue 24-Jul-07 07:41:48

what about some gorgeous opals - earings, watch, bracelet.

eidsvold Tue 24-Jul-07 07:45:49

he could get the stones and you can organise to have them set into a ring or whatever when he gets back.

opals

eidsvold Tue 24-Jul-07 07:46:59

or argyle diamonds from Western Australia.

eidsvold Tue 24-Jul-07 07:47:51

like these

skirmish Tue 24-Jul-07 07:58:29

hmm...you don't like crocs, i don't think you wear havianas (cos they are a lot cheaper), i can't imagine you wearing uggs...steer well clear of the ken done stuff (sorry robin, yuk!)...leaves...hmm..some form of aboriginal art, or duty free perfume/cosmetics, although, not a huge range of that at airport either

skirmish Tue 24-Jul-07 08:00:42

oh...he must get you some bonds knickers (great for everyday) and if you want some fancy stuff, i noticed 'oroton' were making some lovely stuff in dj's in the autumn...

but GET the bonds - you'll never need M & S again!

(also, the bonds (not knicks obviously!) stuff would be good for younger ds too)

eidsvold Tue 24-Jul-07 09:52:41

bonds knickers are the best!!!

eidsvold Tue 24-Jul-07 09:53:45

as are their baby stuff and their vests etc.

He could get himself some too - apparently 'very' comfy undies according to pat cash. Dh is a mitch dowd fan though so can't comment on whether they are brilliant for men.

eidsvold Tue 24-Jul-07 09:55:00

oops wrong Pat - PAt Rafter that should be

oliveoil Tue 24-Jul-07 09:56:12
