If your children go to a school with cream shorts / skirts for uniform...

...what shoes do they wear?

DCs are about to start at an international school in a tropical location. Uniform is what seems to be the standard attire: cream / beige shorts or a skirt, plus the logoed polo shirt. The information just says "shoes must have closed toes", and I can't see from the photos on the website whether most of them are wearing regular black school shoes (would look odd?), boat shoes (which is what most adults would wear?), trainers, Crocs or something different...

Help!

depends on the school....simple trainers ( solid color), biat shoes, standard black/blue school shoes, boat shoes, loafers and ballerinas for girks.
Even in a tropical climate, crocs are kind of frowned upon past Kindy.
What color is the polo shirt?

I'm overseas in tropical climate too. Ds1 just started kindy and wears beige shorts, blue checked shirt and safari hat.
His school are quite strict about dress code, socks are white with no logos and shoes must be black closed toed and no hint of a running shoe.
We get him the smart black shoes from Next with Velcro. I got him a cheaper pair on island and he's pretty much destroyed them already and he's only been at school a month!

Hot and sandy and dry.
Black school shoes.
Thankfully, darker shorts than cream. Enjoy the washing!!!

Hot and humid here. White Nikes for PE days, for the rest of the time he's wearing these:
