i know, a big ask. Need to get a present for a friend moving to Dubai. I doubt they will want more things to carry/ship so thought be nice to get them something for when they arrive and what more to people like than to eat! Any ideas please?

Depends how much you want to spend but The Entertainer book is amazing- a lot of people have them who live out there and they're full of vouchers. There's a Dubai one. Not sure if they just last the year though. You may want to check.

Here we are- there's a child centered app version of the entertainer book for £52

Just depends how much you want to spend really but my friends who live in the UAE swear by the entertainer and buy one every year.

yeo, we had the entertainer when we were there in holiday a few years ago. To be honest didn't really want to spend more than £20 though, we are not that flush right now and they are not super close friends iykwim

Have a look on Groupon under Dubai.

20quid won't get you much in Dubai when it comes to eating out...you can buy Jumeirah vouchers but you have to go to mina a Salam (hotel) in person to get them, don't think they've got them online yet.

Thanks all, we gave them some cash instead towards Friday brunch.

That is probably the easiest option.
