Singapore primary schools - Advice needed

We are looking at a move to Singapore in the summer and am needing advice on schools.
I have two primary aged children who are thriving in their current state school, both working at a level exceeding current expectations.
I obviously want them to settle well and continue to thrive; personally and academically, but am also mindful of when we eventually move back to the UK (probably not for at least 3 years). I want them to be in a school where the transition back would be as seamless as possible.
I don't know much about the IB programme and wondered if this is a good choice of school or should I choose one based on an English curriculum?
FYI - We are not going to be in a position where my dh's company will pay to 'bump us up' any huge waiting lists. Oh for the expat packages of old!

We are going out for a flying visit next month and would ideally like to look at a couple of schools whilst there, but was hoping that someone might be able to give me some pros and cons of the international schools.

Any help/advice would be very much appreciated.

The main 'British' schools are Tanglin, Dover Court, Chatsworth and Dulwich. You will need to check with them if they have space. Theres loads of other schools though, all are pretty good. UWC is one of the leading ones. There is also ISS, Canadian Int School, American School, Nexus.
My dd went to ISS which is IB but transitioned easily back to her UK primary school a few years ago.

Start calling schools and asking about availability, your choice will be determined by that.

Hi there! my kids have been attending the International Community School in Singapore for 8 years and we love it! It is a small private school where the teachers and staff really care about my kids! You can check it out at //www.ics.edu.sg and let me know if you have any questions. It's definitely worth a visit!
