Perth weather

We are heading back in June with a view to moving back again. Thing is I can't remember what the weather was like in winter. Can someone remind me?!

Much better than a UK summer that's for sure.

You will need jumpers as gets cold once the sun goes down and a raincoat. Around15-20 during the day and expect some rain, but there will be a lot of sunshine. I would layer stuff, don't take any thick coats as you will boil. Don't forget it can get very windy as well.

Though houses cold as no central heating, tend to be room to room heating e.g. potbelly or a gas heater type thing. Though some houses have reverse aircon/heating. Well what I have experienced when visiting rellies.

Have a look at BBC weather 5 day forecast, put it Perth and it will also show you down the bottom of the page average temp and rainfall for each month. I have it as one of my favourites, so I can torture myself every day, sad I know.

Born and bred in Perth but been in UK 19 years and trying to convince DH we need to go home, so sick of UK weather.... We can finally afford to have our dream house mortgage free but DH couldn't get a job, he is very specialised in what he does here in UK.

What joy at never having to wear a thick coat ever again... You lucky thing.🐨

As Sandgroper has answered you already, I just thought I'd let you know its 40 degrees today so I am finishing work at 4 and going to Point Peron (I live nearby) snorkelling and having a beach bbq. I love Perth.

Ssshhhh don't say that - it's pouring with rain here.....again!

Layers are your friend. It can be 2 degrees waiting for the train in the morning, then 16 when it comes time to go home. I am ridiculously pleased to be able to wear jeans and boots for a few months though!

However, I have never been so cold inside a house as I have been in Perth, our 3 rentals haven't had freestanding heaters or fires, and while reverse cycle air conditioning sounds great, you're paying a lot of money to heat rooms which are largely not insulated, with single glazed windows with gaps in them, and cool tile floors. My standard winter indoor garb is Primark fleecy pjs underneath fleece trousers and jumper, with a fleece dressing gown on top. And bring some hot water bottles with you!

I agree about the lack of insulation, my first winter here alive never been so cold! Bloody single glazing! My new house has a log burner which is wonderful in winter!

I remember it being cold in our rental. No fires. High priority this house hunt.
