Anyone with DC in French schools in France know anything about sitting these? Do I have to contact an international school or is there a way of sitting remotely?

I'm not in France, but you could try the British Council. They facilitate IGCSEs worldwide.

Not in France, but ds took a couple of iGCSES as a private candidate. The British Council in Shanghai is a test centre and I assume this also applies outside China. Sometimes they cannot offer an exam e.g the oral for foreign languages as they do not have anyone qualified to conduct the examination. An alternative would be to contact the exam board. Cambridge (CIE) gave me a list of all schools in China where it was possible to sit iGCSES and the list specified if they took external candidates too. Then it was just a case of contacting the nearest school.

Thanks for the replies. I've contacted the British Council in Paris so I'll see what they say.

DS did a couple of IGCSEs as a private candidate in Spain. Had to go to the nearest international school to take them.

Thanks fussychica. Yes I've established I/GCSE s in France need to be taken at The British School of Paris. Probably lots of places down south to sit them but this applies to the north half of the country.
