Been overseas for 10 years now in the German speaking part of Switzerland. Most times I'm ok but I do feel so so vulnerable when I'm ill or my 10 yr old DD or DH is. I have friends to give me back up but it's not the same as family calling on family. Mum not around and dad elderly so I can't call on them.
Went to the GP today and been given treatment for sinusitis. feeling better for the advice and drugs but what has really helped was searching mumsnet and feel re-assured and not alone. So thank you mumsnetters and mumsnet.
