I can't believe I am starting a thread about JB.

Even moreso considering it has no direct impact upon me whatsoever.

Anyway, he was due to play one night in Muscat in May and a lot of little girls (friends of my dd) were getting very excited, and a lot of parents were happy to give them a special treat.

But his management team have now decided to cancel the Muscat gig and do an extra night in Dubai, probably because they can fill a much larger venue there than in Muscat.

They have offered to refund the ticket price or give tickets for the new Dubai date (which is a 5+ hour drive away)

As I said, I know I am unduly annoyed by this.

...I'm probably now going to get replies from Dubai mums delighted that they have another opportunity to get tickets.

He showed up almost two hours late at the show in Arnhem, my friend was there with her eleven year old, the kids were nearly insane by the time the little twerp showed his face. UNACCEPTABLE.

It might be unacceptable, it's exactly why I'd not allow our children anywhere near that adult-child who will be burned out by the time he's 20.

Out of curiosity, where would he have performed? we saw a number of turns at the Intercon.
I even went and saw that blonde bloke from Ireland whose name escapes me out of desperation for live entertainment.

That was him. Saw him the next day at the Terry Fox run. He really was a whey faced little individual.

"Out of curiosity, where would he have performed?"

A good question ripishere (why do I always see that as rip-sphere)

According to paper reports it was to be in the 'Muscat Grand Mall Atrium', Now I know where MGM is (it opened about 8 months ago I think) but I have no idea where its Atrium might be.

Originally I though it was going to be played somewhere near the Auto club on the way towards the airport.

I have asked several 9 y/o girls, but I'm none the wiser.

How things have changed since we left. There was neither of those nine years ago.
We really must get back to show DD where she was born.

I remember going to see Status Quo at the Intercon - would never have gone to see them in the UK!
