No but many of my friends have. They seem v pleased with the results. I think given that Singapore is probably the myopia capital of the world it's safe to say the consultants know what they are doing! There's an eye centre you can check out. Others on orchard road can be pricier (or those that practice out of places like mt Elizabeth will be costly).

Same here - haven't had it done myself but many friends have. Try Jerry Tan - supposed to be good.

Yes I've just had mine done! and I had it done at Jerry Tan, but actually done by Dr Por. Would highly recommend it, its amazing, scary initially but honestly its all over so quickly and now I can see!!

Wow. Thank you so much! I am def going to get it done. Do you mind me asking how much it was? I was thinking it's about 4k spd. I was waiting for my house in the UK to sell and we've just accepted an offer yesterday.

Were you long or short sighted?

I am very keen to have it done!

Well its about S$4.5k once its all done. Was short sighted with astigmatism. The staff at Jerry Tan are fantastic, really caring and will hold your hand and really look after you!

go for it !

That's good to know. I have emailed them already. I looked into it a couple of years ago but it was £4,000!

My husband is short sighted with astigmatism and he had to wear an eye patch as a young child. He was told a few years ago that he couldn't have laser eye surgery. Too risky. Maybe things have moved on! He too would love to have it done! I am just plain old long sighted but partly the reason I didn't have it done before (apart from the cost) was because they said in 5 years, give or take, I would need to wear reading glasses because of the ageing process. But my prescription has got worse in that time so I'm hoping they can reassess and maybe make some over compensation in one eye or whatever they do!

Thanks, no more glasses for you at all?

K
