No but I used to, for a short time, before we were evacuated. Why do you ask?

On the BHC compound in Islamabad. We were only there for three months, July - October 2008, then evacuated after the Mariott bombing. It was very stressful, I had two very young children with me at the time. We didn't see much of the country unfortunately - I would love to have gone up to the north. Most places were out of bounds for us, even Lahore was difficult. I liked the food! Where are you and what are you doing there?

Gosh I feel for you - I still jump when I hear loud bangs. Unless you have lived somewhere like that, you can't explain how it feels.
You should certainly register yourself with the embassy. Do you have any other British friends there? Karachi wasn't somewhere we could go really - I think our colleagues could only move around with armoured cars etc. But if I recall that was as much because of a threat of kidnapping as anything!
Is your dh Pakistani?
