Thought I would try to resurrect this now the holidays are over....As I recall Thursday/Fridays were best for most people.....anyone interested?

Longtime Fri 23-Sep-11 12:18:58

Me, me! Thursday or Friday are ok for me. Tuesday's ok if it's a bit later.

Tamasin Fri 23-Sep-11 12:31:36

Friday for me! (Sarah)

frazzlenz Fri 23-Sep-11 12:34:51

me too. Thurs and Fri best for me too...though not next Friday ;)

Portofino Fri 23-Sep-11 12:58:01

Fri 7th October?

BestImitationOfMyself Fri 23-Sep-11 13:28:07

Sounds good. I can do Friday 7th, or most Thursdays and Fridays. Will be great to meet you all!

RuthChan Fri 23-Sep-11 13:58:38

I can probably come too.
Would have DS in tow too though. I hope that's ok...

Longtime Fri 23-Sep-11 13:59:59

How about you all come to mine first for a French class and then go straight after?

Though I guess that wouldn't suit you RuthChan as you'll have to go back out to pick up ds.

Just a thought.

RuthChan Fri 23-Sep-11 14:16:06

Yes, I have to be in Waterloo at 12.00 to pick up DS from school.
Unless I can rope someone into collecting and keeping him for me for a couple of hours.
Tempting idea...

frazzlenz Fri 23-Sep-11 15:14:03

Friday the 7th is good for me smile

natation Fri 23-Sep-11 16:41:10

enjoy lunch, I work thursdays and fridays and lunch break there is 45 minutes if I'm very very lucky.

gastrognome Fri 23-Sep-11 18:31:09

Would have been nice to come along and meet you all but I will be in the UK then. Enjoy your lunch though!

Portofino Fri 23-Sep-11 19:42:14

Natation, we can always organise one on a different day of the week. I can always do lunch! The food in the canteen at work is awful!

NichyNoo Sun 25-Sep-11 17:01:15

At the moment Friday 7th is good for me...I will schedule 'important client lunch' into my work diary grin

DH is away that week so I would have to duck out if DS gets ill and can't go to creche but otherwise should be fine.

Portofino Sun 25-Sep-11 17:13:10

Where shall we go? Someone near the Bourse/St Gery? Or any special requests?

Portofino Sun 25-Sep-11 17:15:23

As long as I can easily get there by public transport from the Gare du Nord, I am quite flexible.

frazzlenz Sun 25-Sep-11 19:33:12

I'm good as long as its close to the metro.

Longtime Sun 25-Sep-11 21:55:25

Close to a metro for me too please!

Portofino Wed 28-Sep-11 19:48:37

There is a nice Thai near to the Bourse that does a reasonable set lunch. I can't remember what it is called, of course....

Portofino Wed 28-Sep-11 19:49:04

or Tapas?

BestImitationOfMyself Wed 28-Sep-11 20:20:03

Well I'm just a newcomer but I hope it's the one we noticed near Bourse metro, as couldn't forget the name: "Fanny Thai". Tapas sounds lovely too.

BestImitationOfMyself Thu 29-Sep-11 18:36:07

Just found out I'm working next Friday so won't make it along (also means I'll miss your French class Longtime, sorry). Hope you have a lovely lunch and I get the chance to meet you all next time.

Longtime Thu 29-Sep-11 22:46:43

Hi Best, glad to hear you've got some work! Don't worry about the French classes as I haven't started them yet. Not sure if I'm going to as everyone seems to have other commitments. I'll have to see.

CPrunner Mon 03-Oct-11 14:35:12

hi - i'd be interested in lunch and french classes and meeting up in general. I'm having a bit of a hard time getting settled in brussels, finding my way around, and i'm hoping to meet people who have been in similar situation.

amyboo Mon 03-Oct-11 16:12:32

OOOh - only just seen this one. I'd love to do lunch, but work too far from the metro to make it to Bourse and back in a lunchbreak. Let me know if you organise one nearer to Schuman/Montgomery/Ixelles...
