Free French class for Belgian mumsnetters

Okay, I'd definitely like to do this this year. I taught French to the mums at the BSB on a volunteer basis for four years and I'd like to keep my hand in now that I don't get out to the school. I'm therefore offering to give a free French class once a week to any mumsnetters out there who would like to come.

Anyone interested?

That's an interesting idea, very generous of you. I should really learn some french because we do get french patients. Where would it be?

Hi belgo. It'd have to be at my house as I don't always have access to a car. However, I do live two minutes' walk from a metro station which is on a direct line to the gare centrale.

Hi Longtime, I'd love to take you up on it but as we opted for Waterloo and I'm yet to get a second car it may have to wait a while. Very very kind offer. Would it be daytime/evening wk/wkend?

Longtime Wed 24-Aug-11 22:03:00

Daytime in the week lozzyblue.

Hi Long time, can you email me your address please?

lozzyblue Thu 25-Aug-11 08:38:36

Thanks. Definitely interested but will probably be better for me from October when my 2 eldest are in school. If ok with you I'll pm you closer to the time to see if you're still doing it? smile

Hi Longtime, Count me in! I've emailed you.

Longtime Thu 25-Aug-11 22:09:09

lozzyblue, I definitely want to do this but I'm sure it won't get off the ground until a couple of weeks into September so you won't miss much if you start in October. I live just off the E411 so not difficult to get to from Waterloo if you have a car. Would make the timing of it so you wouldn't get stuck in traffic.

belgo, will do.

Best, e-mail received, thank you.

I'm definitely interested in your lessons Longtime.
I'd only be able to do them in the morning though, as I'd have to be back in Waterloo to collect DS from school at 12:00.

Lozzyblue: If you're interested, we could travel together in my car.

Will repost in case you didn't see what I'd written monkey. I remember receiving your e-mail but don't seem to have it now. Long complicated reason involving servers and being in England which I'm too lazy to explain. Can you please resend?

RuthChan, we will sort something out and kind of you to offer to bring lozzyblue!

Will do Longtime - I did wonder what it was that you'd posted smile

Longtime Mon 29-Aug-11 10:13:30

Nothing serious - just the name of a member of my family which I suppose could have outed me to someone I didn't want to be outed to. Most probably over cautious as you lot all know who I am smile

Right, how does Friday morning suit people? And what levels are you? I think I'll send an e-mail out to everyone. I'm thinking 10 to 11am.

Oh and I can't start until October (so Friday 7 October would be the first lesson).

Is this offer still open? I'm in desperate need of lessons!

Longtime Wed 28-Sep-11 15:44:34

MammaBrussels, the offer is still there but I'm having problems coordinating everyone!

I'll pm you with my e-mail address.
