Looks like we will qualify to move to Canada so now looking for any recommendations on locations to explore. Growing family so schools, hospitals, community with sports/activities for kids. In terms of style we want to be walking distance to a place with good shops and cafes etc. Any thoughts welcomed x Also any feedback on living there would be great.

Go where the good jobs are... Grin An unemployed immigrant is not going to be a happy one.

Unfortunately, without knowing what type of work you're hoping to get, or if you have any particular Province of preference, I can't really begin to advise towns/cities...

Also when you say "qualify to move to Canada" what route are you planning to use? It's just that often people think that they can apply for Canadian permanent residence because they have more than the minimum required points, not realising that only applications from people in a select few occupations will now be considered (without having pre-arranged employment) and only until the allocated number of applications by people in each of those occupations have been received... Once the quota is reached, CIC simply return the rest of the applications.

I'm sure you're already aware of "The List", but if not, here's a link to the occuptions considered to be in demand for now: www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list but do check regularly as they do change from time to time.
