So, if we take NZ bought eg kettle, plug in radiator etc, and change the plugs when we get to the UK, will they work alright without blowing anything up?

THanks.

Yes, everything will work fine. We brought everything .... lap top, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle, microwave etc. and just changed plugs when we got here.

But make sure you bring a few adaptor plugs though, chargers for things like sat navs and mobile phones can't have their plug bits changed as they are transformers. We brought a couple of extension leads from the UK to use in the office so we didn't have to faff around and change all the plugs on computers, printers and the like.

When do you move Hedgerow and where to?
