Anyone fancy it? I didn't make the last one...

Oh, have been thinking about this.

Would love to try.

MrsSchadenfreude Tue 01-Mar-11 22:03:46

Yes, why not. Can you do an evening? Bonsoir suggested drinks at the Hotel Bristol on one occasion. I've developed a baaaad Crillon habit of late, but not tried the Bristol!

Or lunch on a Saturday?

But I quite like the idea of debauched and raucous evening drinking (perhaps not the Bristol or Crillon then?!).

flyingcloud Thu 03-Mar-11 21:45:58

Bump - sounds like fun.

BriocheDoree Fri 04-Mar-11 13:15:43

Well, flying and mrsS, perhaps we should meet up even if no-one else wants to...? Evening drinking sounds fun!

Awww, I'd love to, but am not in Paris by any stretch of the imagination - 2h20 train ride away. Boo!

I'll be with you in spirit!

BriocheDoree Mon 07-Mar-11 17:58:50

Bumping up again and wondering where all the other ile-de-france mumsnetters have got to...?

Oh, I just found this. Great idea - when and where?

BriocheDoree Thu 10-Mar-11 12:57:54

Ooh, I leave the "where" to the Parisians, but ask that it be fairly central. As to "when", are we agreed that an evening would be pleasant? For me it would have to be later (8.30/9.00 allowing me time to come in from the 'burbs) and a Tuesday or a Thursday for preference. Don't know about Flyingcloud - is she a little further out than me and would therefore prefer a weekend...?

I would love to come, too, but I haven't been to the last one, so please feel free to tell me to sod off.

I'm at Bastille, so anything fairly central is good- Bristol sounds nice. Or perhaps if the weather's nice, somewhere outside in Marais?

BriocheDoree Mon 21-Mar-11 08:33:44

Bumping for the last time before I give this up as a bad idea...

I am really busy at work this week, but can look at this and getting something organised next week, if that helps. Are we all agreed on evening drink? Do people want to eat as well? I work near Concorde and can probably come up with somewhere to drink round there, if that's helpful. Also a bar I go to (according to my credit card statement) near St Lazare.

MrsSchadenfreude Sun 27-Mar-11 21:21:29

OK next week will be quieter. What evenings are good for you?

BriocheDoree Mon 28-Mar-11 12:00:45

For me, Tues, Thurs or Saturday. Any other punters?

Do you have a time and date. I am exhausted. Not sure I can make an evening in Paris right now.

Good luck and enjoy!

MrsSchadenfreude Tue 29-Mar-11 21:38:59

I will check my diary and email people later this week. FC - can we not tempt you? A leetle drinkie?

ret204 Sun 01-May-11 20:20:45

Oh I so want to meet you all. but for a big drinkie.

Just found out we are moving to Paris in the summer (july 11). And am now going internet mad looking for Nursery for my little one who is just 4. We are looking at living in the 15th and hoping to get EABJM but sounds like its a coin toss to see if we get in.

All help advice or tips welcome on school and housing.

Greythorne Mon 02-May-11 14:55:51

I have no idea how i missed this thread when it started in March as i spend all my bloody time on MN but just spotted it today.

Has the meet up happened? Can we organise a summer meet up?

Superspudable Mon 02-May-11 15:03:28

I'm moving to Paris in mid-July and would love to join if that's ok! Would love a summer meet! wine

BriocheDoree Mon 02-May-11 19:09:25

Sorry, I gave up on it as no-one replied...(apart from MrsS)
It never happened. But it could?

MrsSchadenfreude Mon 02-May-11 19:50:49

Can we do one this month? It would have to be during the week, for a drinkie in the evening.

frakyouveryverymuch Tue 03-May-11 07:43:26

I want a summer meet grin Not sure when we'll be over though...and not sure if we're back permanently or here for another year. But if there is a meet and I'm around pretty please may I gatecrash? DH can babysit if we're going to a non-baby-friendly restaurant or bar.

Greythorne Tue 03-May-11 07:55:18

Can't believe i missed this. Sorry. I am up for it if we can just get it organised.

My take is:

-- lunch midweek: somewhere toddler friendly as i have a 2 yo
-- evening drinks: i can only do after 9pm due to DH's work pattern
-- supper: same, after 9

I am in the Western burbs, so 17eme, 18eme, 8eme, 9eme suit me best, but i can be persuaded to venture further afield if absolutely necessary desired smile.
What are your thoughts?

Let's do it!

BriocheDoree Tue 03-May-11 09:02:08

Greythorne, after 9 p.m. also suits me as I'm also out to the West (further out than you, I think...?) Best nights for me are Mon, Tues, Thurs.
