Anyone transferred a BNP Paribas mortgage in France to the UK

Just wondering if anyone had moved their French mortgage to the UK? We have a mortgage in France and live here full time, but I'm starting to feel like I want to move back and am interested to know if this is possible.

I know that our BNP Paribas mortgage is transferrable to another property in France, but I'd like to know if it could be moved to a property in the UK as we've not got a hope of getting a new one in the current climate (both self-employed).

I know I could ask them but they are miserable buggers who go out of their way to make me feel wretched.

Methinks I need to start another thread about wanting to move back to the UK too!

I would doubt it very much but you know you have to ask them.

I wouldn't want to have a Euro mortgage secured on a sterling asset myself - especially with exchange rates so volatile. Expect the bank won't be keen on it for the same reason (as well as all purpose inflexibility and general bloody mindedness on their part).
