Anyone up for a Sydney meet up??

With the arrival of the first day of spring I'm suddenly feeling the urge to have another Sydney MN meet up. The last one was fun, although perhaps we could manage a turn out of more than three people this time Grin

So if anybody's interested maybe we could start thinking about date/time/venue?

I would be interested. Am free pretty much any time at the moment, although if it's a weekday I would have a 2 year old in tow!

And wasn't the weather fab today :O

or :o even (can't do smileys!)

The weather was indeed fab yesterday, not quite sure what's happened to it today Smile

I'm starting mat leave in a couple of weeks, so will be free prety much any time too.

Will try and keep the thread bumped for a few days to see how many people are interested before we decide weekday/weekend etc

I'm around. Would prefer weekend with wine than weekday with kids personally but can do either Grin

Weekend with wine sounds good to me Grin

Where has everyone gone then - thought VFemme might be around (I've probably passed her in Hornsby Westfield some time!).

I haven't deserted the thread - went away for the weekend so had no internet.

Everyone seems to have disappeared - I thought thumbwitch would be up for a trip to the big city.

Might leave it another couple of days and then repost the thread in an area with a bit more traffic......AIBU maybe Grin

Looks like everyone's hiding!

I'll try and keep the thread bumped so people actually see it.....can't imagine that noone else is up for wine Smile

Sure am up for it bunny - have been in the UK though and not keeping up that well with MN. Back now (got home on Saturday) and am suffering from jet lag - not mine, DS's!! Wink Can't believe it's that long ago we met that you're going on mat leave already!

Bonza - don't be a wussy.Grin I am further away than you and I made it last time!! I'm in the Hunter region so it's a 2 hour train ride for me but I'd still do it again.

Preference is weekend without DC and with wine - definitely worked well last time - hope abithormonal can make it too (at least she doesn't have as far to come) and it won't make any real difference whether or not she brings her DS as he's only tiny.

Oo, I'm looking forward to it - any prospective dates? I mostly have nothing on at the weekends but I know DH is gagging for a holiday in October, haven't sorted dates yet so must get on to that asap and then I can tell you when so hopefully we can work round it. :)

I thought I hadn't seen you on here for a while thumb Hope your DS gets over his jetlag soon Smile

Seems like a weekend with wine is the preferred option. I'll text abithormonal and see if she wants to come along.

How about either 2nd or 16th October?

2nd should be ok because I can't see us organising our holiday so quickly Confused - 16th could be a bit more tricky until we have the holiday dates. What about anyone else?

I've just moved to the Hunter region from England, with inlaws in Sydney. I'd be interested in meeting other people out here if it's open to anyone! Blush

Ooo Cornishmade - if you want to, email me on thumbwitch at live dot co dot uk and let me know where you are - we could be really close to each other! Then again we might not be, it's a big region Wink.

BOnza, I'm probably close to you as well - perhaps we should have our own meet up up here as well; I did suggest that to the Sydneysiders I met earlier in the year as well because of our proximity to the Hunter Valley Wine region - an MN wine tour sounds like a good plan to me! Grin

OK - I can't do the 2nd of Oct - it is my birthday weekend - plus DH is working away this weekend then taking son on s cub camping weekend the next so if I go out the following weekend that will look rude !

BUT happy to meet up with Hunter girls - will just have to investigate trains etc ....

DH works in Newcastle some days and in Sydney on others !!

Bonza trying to be brave !!!

Bonza - I'm sorry, I just realised my previous post was badly worded - feel free to email me as well, if you want to, then we can establish how close we are to each other and see what we can do. :)

thumb I'm just waiting until I can actually sample the wine rather than just gazing longingly at it before we arrange an MN wine tour Grin

Feel free to suggest dates for a meet up other than the ones I did. I definitely can't do the 25th Sept or the 9th Oct as have childbirth and parenting classes (and believe me I need those!!) but am pretty flexible other than those dates

I can do pretty much any weekend although we are going to the Sydney baby show on the 3rd Oct - otherwise we have no plans!

Ok, I'm game for the 16th October - if we do go North it isn't going to be that weekend as my friends are busy then - how does that sound to anyone else?
