Life-limiting illness

My friend is dying

My friend was given a diagnosis of terminal cancer 18 months ago, with a very rough prognosis of 18 months to 3 years.

A few months ago, new tumours appeared and she was given 4 months without treatment and 12 months with (palliative chemo)

Today, she's been rushed in with suspected sepsis.

It doesn't look good.

She's 30 years old.

Why is life so fucking unfair?

There's a group of us who all support each other whenever anything happens or her condition worsens.

I might be catastrophising but I've got an awful feeling this is it.

I am so sorry. Cancer is such a bastard. Will you be able to visit her?

We're hoping it's a temporary thing being on ICU. Just until the blood pressure is under control.

Will play it by ear with the visiting. Hopefully she'll be moved to the cancer ward once/if she improves, which will make visiting easier.

Just can't shake this feeling though.

How's you're friend doing @feathermucker? Is her blood pressure under control yet?
