I cannot in way believe I am writing this.Only 2 weeks ago, she had a headache and then a day later went into a massive seizure and they resuscitated her on the bed. Rushed to hospital at 3am and my 7 old son and I followed the ambulance. 2 hours later, after a CAT and MRI they conformed the worst possible a huge tumour in the brain across the brain stem. We have now been told there is little they can do and its in her neck and spine too!! How on earth does one cope??? My beautiful boy who was a precious IVF baby adores his mummy as I do!!! I am in a dream at the moment! I want to wake up!

What exactly is the prognosis? Have they suggested any treatments? Is there anyone in RL who can be with you and be your support at the hospital?

Surreytimes Sun 16-Apr-17 18:24:37

My mum is up helping as much as she can. Its a high grade rapid malignancy. Inoperable because of its location across the brain stem and the fact that its in the neck and spine. I am just totally in shock and didn't even know about mumsnet until a friend mentioned it. Sorry, I am a chap called David. x

I'm so sorry for you. There really isn't much I can say to make any difference but just wanted to say something flowers

I've lost a family member in similar circumstances. Perhaps the thing to concentrate on is making the most of the time left. flowers
