Research Project with Gay/Lesbian Adopters and Foster Carers

My name is Kate Wood and I am a PhD student within the department of Social Work at the University of Hull.

I have been awarded a scholarship by the University of Hull to carry out research addressing gay and lesbian adoption and fostering in England and Wales.

I am interested in looking at the experiences of gay and lesbian adopters and foster carers who have applied since the introduction of supportive legislation within the last decade - In particular the Adoption and Children Act 2002.
