adopting from abroad

anyone experience of this? Is it straightforward nowadays? or minefield. any good websites?

thinking of looking into it - it may be a nighmare. But I'd love anothre baby/child but don't want the stress/body damaging (body already knackered) of another pregnancy this late in life. So I don't know if they are genuine reasons for wanting to adopt - I'm not sure if I have to be 'St Theresa' type to do this type of thing.
