essbee,
im currently re-mortgaging due to on going problems with abbey national.
i am using an independent advisor who is totally free and will shop about for you to find the best deal, due to your circumstances.
ive used them in the past so they come highly recommended and i would definately start with giving them a phone call.

they are london and country mortgages,tel:01225 408000(bath) and their website is www.lcplc.co.uk

sorry,but no good at links.

HTH.

Agree with Bubbaloo - we used London and Country mortgages last year to get a better deal and they were wonderful - it was all very straightforward and simple. Give them a ring.
