my nan got my mom a bond in 1939, she recently had a letter saying it had matured at 65, my mom is now nearly 70, we have been trying to work out how much it's worth, as we don't think it will be alot, any ideas anyone??

It will depend on what type of bond, how much capital was originally put in, who the bond was with and their interest rates...no? Will def be worth looking into though. Should be tax free too.

my mom didn't know anything about it my nan never told her, the company got in touch with her month ago, through another source, they knew her maiden name, date of birth, old address, we are assuming it is from a baby bond from 1939 her year of birth.
thankyou for your help
