Savlls Private Finance. YOu will pay (0.5% of loan - though dh got them down to 0.3% on ours) but they are v. quick and good at getting deals for larger sums/special circs.

Good luck

(We had our offer on beautiful house accepted on Sunday so going through it as well)

Everything I hope. I spoke to tehm a while ago and they told us the max we could borrow over teh phone after a 5 min chat. Now we have a house, they are coming round next week (could have been today but I wanted DH to be here as well) to go through all the details. They see no problem with being able to exchange (ie having a written offer) within 21 days.

They have found us 4.99 fix for 2 years (with Halifax I think) but crucially for us the income multiple is huge (dh has lowish basic but huge non guaranteed bonus, and lots of our assets are tied up in investments/his company)

Check out Scottish Widows. They do professional mortgages. You can apply online. HTH

try charcolonline.co.uk or Savills Private Finance. Use moneyfacts.co.uk to check out if the deal you are being offered is competitive. I believe recent FSA regulation of mortgages mean that offers generally are taking longer these days. When i was working, we could get an application to offer in less than a week, provided survey is ok. check out fsa website.Good luck, moving is a nightmare but worth it.

ks, didn't I give you my broker's info.. ages ago? Call him up. He can do it quickly even if you aren't in london. And if you remind him that you're my friend he'll do it even more quickly for fear of the wrath of sofia.
