Each area is different.
In most areas people who are "basic" benefit claimants such as single, no health issues or childless couples are changed over to UC or immediatly put on UC if it is their first claim.

The dates for change over for all have changed 3 times since I had work related training on it 18 months ago so it's anyone guess.

That's a very good question, OP. I keep googling this because it will have a massive negative effect.

It's as clear as mud.

They are rolling it out from 2017.

They are gradually phasing it in for new claims and change of circs in different areas of the country. Then those on any of the legacy benefits will begin to migrate over from 2018 and it is anticipated that everyone will be over by 2021.
