Tax credits and redundancy

Hey I got made redundant March last year and got paid for that redundancy April 2015.

Got my renewal form and they have put my tax credits down as I earn more than expected last year and when calculating they have added my redundancy pay to my yearly earnings. Am I right in saying they can't do this? I thought redundancy was non taxable?
