My OH is self employed, we are currently applying for a mortgage only to be told as his profit went down in year 3, our rate will increase.

His 2015-16 profit will be good, how quickly can an accountant do a profit and loss statement?

We are pretty clueless about this stuff.

My clients would have a fit if they knew how quickly I can do some of them grin wink

Self employed with organised books - two days tops

Actually - to be fair - my accountant provided me with a spreadsheet when I started my business and I track all my outgoings, invoices, payments as I go well nearly .

He also keeps me right on Company House returns/ NIC payments/ payroll so I do think I get good value for what he does.
