Child Maintenance

Wondering if anyone knows - does a child aged over 16 who is working in a paid apprenticeship count as a fully dependant child in a child maintenance application?
When the non resident parent has a percentage of their income disregarded for the children who live with them IYSWIM?
Also does a parent stop receiving child benefit for an over 16 who is working in a paid apprenticeship? Or is it still paid because they are still in education?

No, a child in a waged apprenticeship does not qualify for CB or maintenance as it is seen as employment. There are a couple of unwaged apprenticeships that are run by colleges that do qualify.
