If you're porting your mortgage you're not repaying it. We've ported a mortgage with Nationwide and will be doing so again shortly, we are well out of fixed period though but isn't the logic that you aren't actually repaying it the same?

Ah so you are repaying a portion of it. Not sure how this would work then. if it not poss can't you port the whole thing then wait til you're out of the fixed rate period to remortgage for the smaller amount?

You can port part of the mortgage and just pay a proportional erc on the bit you repay.
