Prohibitive? The digital Times costs £2/week and even the print version is only £1 a day.

My local library has every paper, every day. Free!

We get my neighbours Sunday Times after they've read it and we give him our Guardian and Observer. Any neighbours you could swap with?

Why not just buy an FT a couple of times a week? I really struggle to see how this is "incredibly counterproductive for women's progress." when so much news is available online for free.
