P60 question (thrilling obviously)

This sounds stupid but could anyone tell me why a P60 would quote pay for "this employment" and "total for the year" as £x7,000 when actual salary is £x4,332. One job only, same job for 10 years. How can the amount on a P60 be more than you actually earn?

Erm don't know. Sounds like someone's fucked up somewhere.

It is common for the amount on the P60 to be less than your salary because it excludes certain pension contributions, unusual to be more though. Is there a bonus or back-pay that has come into the last year? Is the amount exactly £x7,000?

Ask your payroll department.

Thanks yes, being idiotic, bonus payment not considered. (It wasn't my money BTW!)
