Would be grateful for any advice on what to do or where to go to get some advice please.

In November last year I asked on a Facebook page for company's with which to perform with in London.
Lady contacted me advertising her company.

I filled in form on the website with my details etc.
I agreed to provide a certain number of children and sell a certain number of tickets and buy certain advertising things at a set price. I also paid a deposit.

A couple months pass and I email with a question. It takes her weeks to respond and she does so apologising stating it went to junk.

I then emailed her in April advising her that unfortunately due to my health I was unable to continue on with our agreement.
I honestly thought being notified in writing 3 months before the event was fine and I was happy to lose the deposit.

I didn't hear anything until the end of May, where I got emails etc asking for info etc. However it came as part of a group email and I didn't pay much attention as thought it was just a generic group email.
This last few days she has been ringing/ texting/ emailing daily trying to speak to me.

My team also resent the email confirming we could no longer take part in the show due to my health. Also asking her to please stop emailing etc and remove my data.

I have today received a letter through the post. Stating that the form I typed my information into in October is legally binding and that I would still need to pay for the full costs which add up to £4K!!!! Also explaining in the letter that twice before other principals have pulled out of the show and she has taken them to court and they had to pay with court costs etc on top!

I really don't know enough about what to do? I have no savings ( my husband had brain surgery last year and still not returned to work), We rent the house. My company is not limited.

I honestly felt that I notified her in writing we could not attend and that was that!

Apparently the form I filled in is legally binding and I could not quit!!

I have another operation on Wednesday. I just don't want this stress.

Can she enforce this, can she take me to court? Apparently I have 7 days to pay the amount??
Can I offer to pay back £10 per week, if I'm offering some form of payment plan can she take legal action?

Any help or advice please of where to go?

More information is needed before anyone can advise you. What were the terms and conditions, for example? You may be better off talking to CAB.
