Parking ticket for parking in disabled bay - should I pay or appeal?

I went to a small supermarket tonight with two small kids. There were no parking spaces , just two free disabled ones. I parked in one of those spaces, went to the shop, was out in about 2 min and as I came out of I saw a guy taking pictures of the car and he put a ticket on my windscreen as I was about to drive off. Do I have any chance in appealing this? There were no parent and child spaces at that car park. Any advice greatly received. The fine is £100 reduced to £60 if paid in 14 days. Thank you

You aren't entitled to park in a Disabled Bay.

No chance of appeal. You parked illegally

I would pay it. I don't see that you have any grounds at all to appeal the issue of the fine.

You aren't disabled so just pay it. Chalk this up as a lesson learned.

Cannot think of any grounds in which you would be able to appeal.

Blue badge holder. Pay it. It doesn’t matter that you were 2 minutes. Those 2 minutes mean I can’t park.

You have no grounds for appeal. You aren't disabled.

It's good to see places being more pro active in monitoring disabled bays

Still too generous Briquet... -100/10.

Why do you think an appeal would even work? You parked in a disabled bay when you weren’t entitled to. Pay the fine and next time don’t park like a twat.

Also if I can’t park I can’t shop.

You are not disabled, you do not have a blue badge, you parked in a disabled bay.... it sounds like they were justified in the ticket.

Out of interest what exactly would your appeal be on the grounds of?

What would you be appealing against? You knew it was a disabled parking space, were not entitled to use it, but did regardless.

Pay it, you were seriously inconsiderate parking in a blue badge area when someone who could really need that bay wouldn't be able to park.

I think you should definitely appeal on the basis that there were no P&C spaces. Just to give the person rejecting your appeal a laugh.

Pay it, you aren't disabled and have no blue badge, so you weren't entitled to park there. Just park further away. You could of prevented someone with a disability from shopping! My ds has a blue badge and if he was having a bad day we wouldn't have been able to get to the shop! Would love to know how you think you can appeal?

Can't see what grounds you'd have to appeal. If it's blue badge holders and you're not one you'll have to pay the fine.

Pay, My H has a blue badge and it pisses me off when people take a disabled parking space for " a few minutes"

You got in and out of a shop with two small children in 2 minutes??

If you'd forgotten to display your Blue badge then photocopy it and appeal.

If you haven't got one then tough shit, you deserve it.

@Soupdragon - the moment I realised how poor an attempt this was was due to that timing. Impossible! 😂
