6 years hard labour. With no remission.
Off you pop.

That's nearly twice the limit.

No idea what you will get as a ban. The longer the better.

Ffs. They're not sad do-gooders. People die. Maybe another site would help you, but not this one.

According to the sentencing guidelines this is 17-22 months disqualification accompanied by a band C fine and/or a low level community order. You may also be offered a rehabilitation course. However, the courts can step outside the guidelines in some cases so no-one can say for certain what you will get. It will help if you plead guilty at the first possible opportunity.

14-16 month ban, if no aggravating features ( such as accident or carrying passengers). Drink drive course is available, and if successfully completed you will be eligible for a 25% reduction in the length of the disqualification. You will also be fined and have to pay costs.

I'm not sure about bans etc. There's probably a site out there with lists/sentencing.

In what way was driving whilst drunk a 'mistake'? You surely made an active choice? And your passenger is an idiot too.

I wouldn't get in the car if I'm over the limit. Drink driving kills.

It's not a mistake. It's stupid. Calling people "sad do-gooders" for pointing this out only confirms that you are stupid and the mistake to you was that you got caught.

Tough fucking shit.

The sentencing guidelines can be found here. There must be a minimum 12 month ban. As per my previous post, 60 gets you into the 17-22 month range for a first offence.

The court will pass judgment and therefore for a purely factual answer see mine above and if you would like this confirmed please see 'Magistrates' Sentencing Guidelines' which have to be followed. Your case will last all of about 10 minutes in court.

How was it a mistake?

You either actively chose to drive, knowing you had been drinking, or actively chose to drink, knowing you were driving. Either was, it was a decision you made, not an accident.

You're showing no remorse at all? Seriously?

In what way have you learned from your mistake?

Are you still half-pissed by any chance?

You shouldn't need to make this kind of 'mistake' in the first place in order to learn from. It should be a fucking no brainer to abstain from driving with a passenger too when over the limit.

The fact you didn't kill this time is neither here nor there.

Angry

Just get a cab next time, eh?
