Sorry if this is vague, I am worried about being recognised or daily mail picking this up.
Can anyone give us some direction.
Where do we stand as non resident parents with regular conact and generally good relationships between all parties where the resident parent has decided to hand over care of the child to a close relative as they feel they cannot cope with child's behaviour. This was decided without the non resident parent's consent or any form of prior discussion.
Whereas we don't think the child will come to harm, we are very adamant that the child should be with one of the parents (both have pr).
Where does the non resident parent stand legally? Can we demand the child returns to the resident parent or otherwise we will have the child with us as we do not want her living with this relative. If the resident parent is refusing to have her home, but we are happy to accommodate her - what is our starting point?
